Well, I finally broke down and bought Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. EBGamestop was having a 3 for 2 sale on used games so I got the two and Metroid Prime 2. This means I don't have to support the Disney Corporation as well, as someone already paid them for the games. Well, looks like KH1 is non-operable, so I'll be returning that tomorrow. Oh well. I get to be even more like MC Chris and be a rebel gamer by playing the second one first.

Now, once in the game, after the fifteen minutes of cut scenes(thank you Squenix), I am immediately reminded of a few things:

1) the PS2 graphics suck. I mean, to think this is one of the best selling consoles ever. This makes the Gamecube look like a gem, and the Xbox look years ahead of it's time. People complain about the Wii's graphics, yet it easily is three times as powerful as the PS2, if not more. But I digress, onward!

2) I hate HATE inverted cameras. It becomes incredibly jarring having to go from normal camera control in Halo and Splinter Cell, to inversion. Oh well, that's what a configuration screen is for.

3) I strongly dislike text dialog. I also don't like it when they switch between text and vocal dialog, seemingly at random.

Well, despite these really minor things, it's not too bad the first hour in. Maybe I'll actually keep reporting in on my progress. Till then, onward and upward!
